The Arlington Commission for the Arts advises the County on policy and program development, oversees the grants and public art programs, advocates for the arts in Arlington and acts as a liaison between the arts community and the County. Arts Commission members are appointed by the County Board.
The Arlington Commission for the Arts is seeking to fill three (3) vacancies. The Commission advises the County on cultural policy development, oversees the grants and public art programs, advocates for the arts in Arlington and acts as a liaison between the arts community and the County. Commission members are also responsible for providing leadership for the continuing growth and development of the cultural life of the County and monitoring and planning for this development.
Members of the Commission are appinted for three (3) year terms by the County Board. Applicants who are passionate about the arts, regardless of background or expertise, are welcome to apply online at https://commissions.arlingtonva.us/advisory-group-application/.
Unless otherwise noted, all meetings are held on Wednesday’s, from 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. online until further notice.
